025 - Pikachu 190px-025Pikachu
Pikachu: 025 - Pikachu Electric
HP: 35
Attack: 55
Defense: 30
Special Attack: 50
Special Defense: 40
Speed: 90
Abilities: Static / Lightning Rod
Overview: Pikachu's incredible Speed and movepool make it a tough customer. Lightning Rod gives it an immunity to help switch in with and it can use an Air Balloon for an additional immunity. With plenty of support moves, Nasty Plot to set up its Special Attack, and access to priority Pikachu can use several different tactics to gain an edge. Pikachu is one of the few Pokemon with Wish to give healing support to your team.

025 - Pikachu 25
Set: Volt Switch Support
Item: Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Lightning Rod
Nature: Hasty
EVs: 36 Attack / 236 Special Attack / 236 Speed
- Volt Switch
- Wish
- Fake Out / Extremespeed
- Thunderbolt
Though it's not a huge amount, Pikachu's Wishes gives a member of your team 25 HP while using Volt Switch to scout the opponent. Fake Out is great to annoy an opponent with constant switching, though you'd need to provide Rapid Spin support. Extremespeed, on the other hand, provides constant priority and has the advantage of 2HKOing Diglett which can score a surprise kill if you can predict the switch. Thunderbolt is a reliable STAB that you can use if Pikachu manages to switch into an Electric-type attack and get a boost from Lightning Rod. If your team doesn't need Wish support, you could also use Hidden Power Ice and turn Pikachu into a handy revenge killer.

025 - Pikachu 25
Set: Nasty Pika
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Lightning Rod
Nature: Timid / Hasty
IVs: 29 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 30
EVs: 236 Special Attack / 36 Special Defense / 236 Speed OR 36 Attack / 236 Special Attack / 236 Speed
- Nasty Plot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Signal Beam / Extremespeed
Switching into an Electric-type attack and a follow up Nasty Plot jump's Pikachu's Special Attack over 100. Thunderbolt and Hidden Power [Ice] have great type coverage and blows past common Ground-types that like to switch into Pikachu. Signal Beam provides another solid special option to hit Psychic-types hard but Extremespeed can be used to pick off weakened foes and take down predicted switches like Diglett or frailer Choice Scarf users.
